INTRODUCTION & OVERVIEW

The Eastern Gateway Bonded Zone (EGBZ), Saudi Arabia’s fastest growing Bonded & Re-Export Zone is located on a 100,000 M2 secured site within the confines of King Fahad International Airport (KFIA), Dammam, KSA. The zone functions under a 30 year BOT concession granted by the KSA General Agency For Civil Aviation.

The zone enjoys air Side access at KFIA via a dedicated service road linking the facility to the airport’s main apron. The excellent regional motor way network is also easily accessed from KFIA. Approximately 60% of the EGBZ Land Plot houses A 40,000M2, Multi User, Multi Modal, Multi Temperature, Clearance Gateway, Bonded Storage Facility & National Distribution Hub.

All KSA Regulatory Bodies involved in the cargo clearance process are based within the EGBZ including a dedicated team of customs officers allowing clearance to take place 7 days per week between 07.00 -23.00.

Operationally the EGBZ is classified as a KSA Inland Port & GCC Transit Hub allowing the receipt Multi Modal Bonded Cargo from all KSA Freight Entry Points / Gateways.
